The Triangle is an intimate piercing for women. It passes through the clitoral hood below the clitoris.

History

The Triangle is a relatively new piercing. The idea for the piercing is from Lou Duff, co-founder of the Gauntlet Piercing Studios. This led it for the first time 1991, the piercing was released in the early 1990s in the PFIQ.

Position

It is fairly deep beneath the clitoris horizontally through the clitoral hood, in the place where the prepuce becomes the labia minora. This place looks like a triangle, from which derives the name of the Piercings

Sting

The piercing can only be punched when the anatomical conditions are met. Specifically, this means that there below the clitoris must be enough tissue so that there is sufficient space for the jewelry. The extent to piercende body should be pronounced that they can be squeezed together with thumb and index finger. In highly developed outer lips, it can happen that the piercing is potentially uncomfortable to wear, as it turned permanently pinched. If the piercing is easily feasible, can end only in the preliminary check with the piercer.

The piercing is compared to similar but sting above the clitoris extending, horizontal clitoral hood piercing is relatively heavy. The point is to piercende deeper, to touch is heavier and has a long branch canal. Thus, for a Triangle are stung by experienced piercers.
