Prinz-Albert Piercing

The Prince Albert (PA short) is a genital piercing that runs on the basis of the urethra through the lower wall of the penis and is usually worn with a ball closure ring or a smooth segment ring (without ball). The piercing is placed in the lower level of the glans rim. In women, it corresponds to the Princess Albertina piercing.

History

Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria wanted the ring allegedly hold back the foreskin from the glans to prevent that smegma can form under it. The ring may have been attached to the trouser button. Another variant is that the Prince felt disturbed by his penis while wearing riding breeches and brought him so in a less awkward position. However, it is difficult to determine the truth of this unlikely story. It is also believed that this is one of Doug Malloy - the campaigns for social acceptance of body piercing began in the U.S. - is widespread myth.

Implementation

Starting from the urethra is pierced with a butterfly needle to the underside of the penis. The needle is inserted into the urethra at first somewhat withdrawn into the cannula, so that no injury. Is then placed the needle correctly, the needle is then performed by advancing the needle.

A more precise method takes the opposite approach: In the urethra, a metal tube (Receiving tube) inserted to the desired depth and then down the front edge gently outward. In the bulge of the needle is from outside. Receiving the tube prevents this turn that the urethra is injured.

If desired, the sticking points are previously local anesthetic. The healing time is about four to six weeks and is usually straightforward.

In very rare cases, the implementation of the PA piercings being represented to be difficult. This is the case when right next to the ribbon (frenulum praeputii) run blood vessels. Since those responsible for the blood supply to the erectile tissue in the penis are also experienced piercers here are cautious and do not necessarily suggest an attempt to pierce this place. While this is certainly possible, but is expected to take longer bleeding and pain.

Stretch

Engraved is the piercing usually in a thickness of two to three millimeters. A successfully healed Prince Albert piercing is stretched in the rule to increase the wearing comfort. In addition, decreases with larger diameter, the risk that the jewelry and the acorn grows cut it apart. In about four millimeters Wire Albert, the Prince is as pleasant, should therefore have the jump on a relatively large initial size of 2.4 millimeters are respected. Expansion to more than ten millimeters are possible, reduce the wearing comfort, however, usually because of high weight of the jewelry piece.

Care during the healing

Since the piercing often own urine comes in contact with the healing of the needle tract is relatively fast. In addition, daily chamomile or salt water baths are recommended. For use of ointments is not recommended as they may clog the needle tract. Preventive disinfection should not be carried out regularly. Infections with the Prince Albert piercing on relatively rare. Maintenance of the Reverse Prince Albert is more complex, and the healing takes longer in general than the PA, similar to Apadravya.

Impact

For the carrier, and whose sexual partners, the PA erotic and stimulating but also be uncomfortable, depending on size and shape of jewelry and personal setting. The carrier is in appropriate movement stimulates the inner urethra, resulting in a special sense of experience that can be connected. Also, the sexual partner feels the sexual stimulation may be mechanically amplified by the intense pressures.

Possible problems

Especially with piercing jewelry with a thinner wire gauge (under three to four millimeters) with unfavorable mechanical stress is a risk of slow migration of the jewelry piece. Here, the glans is completely severed at the bottom of the branch canal to the urethral opening, leading to a - out subincision - in this case, involuntary. In this case, immediate surgical correction is necessary.

Occasionally, pain during intercourse caused the sexual partner. Again, this is mostly justified by piercing jewelry with insufficient thickness. Is performed at a carrier of genital jewelry fellatio, this can cause damage to the performers on the teeth. For the safety of the jewelry should be removed before carrying out fellatio.

When it comes urinate frequently moderate to severe drop formation, which is usually caused not by the branch canal, but is caused by the fact that the urine used in jewelry along flows (adhesion) and drips down. This effect can be influenced by the shape and size of jewelry, or by rotation of the penis. An alternative may be a Surface Bar: This can also be worn in small wire sizes and affects urination difficult.

Despite a Prince Albert piercing, a condom be used, but care must be taken that the jewelry is not scratched, for example by inserting a forceps

Variations

There is also the reverse Prince Albert (PA reverse), also called Queen Victoria, who also enters through the urethra, but on the top of the glans emerges and virtually a "half Apadravya" represents.

Another variation is the so-called Dolphin, similar to a "double PA", who sits much lower and there begins where the PA to stop. Preferably, a curved barbell is used, which gives the illusion that the piece of jewelry dive like a dolphin through the shaft - which is the origin of this name, as is the marine mammals to do nothing.

Also a variant of it is the Deep PA, here are the two passages are sitting deeper, usually already close to the scrotum.

When Prince's Wand, a rod is inserted into the urethra and held mostly by a PA in place.
