Nefertiti Piercing
The Nefertiti piercing is a genital piercing for women. It passes through the clitoral hood and the mons.
History
The piercing was developed in the late 1990s by the piercer Shane Munce as an improvement of the riskier Isabella piercing. It thus represents a fairly new piercing and is less common than the more common clitoral hood piercing or the Christina piercing.
Description
The piercing is named after the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, who in the English language is known as Nefertiti. This was known for her extraordinary beauty, which are the aesthetic advantages of the piercings are underlined.
Position
The upper end is similar to the Christina piercing the pubic mound, the bottom just above the clitoris under the clitoral hood. It can thus be considered as a combination of vertical clitoral hood piercing and Christina piercing.
Jewellery
As jewelry, we recommend a flexible pin of PTFE. For a shorter pass channel can later Barbell be using, as initial jewelry, he is unsuitable.
Compared to similar Piercings
The Nefertiti combines the benefits of clitoral hood piercing and a Christian. It offers the advantages of a sexual stimulant and clitoral hood piercing, but has an additional aesthetic appeal by the higher-lying exit point (as opposed to most other female genital piercings that Nefertiti is also in the "normal" visible). Compared to the Christina piercing, it has the advantage of being less to migrate, ie tends to grow out.
The piercing is harmless compared to the Isabella, it is likely to damage any major nerves. However, the Nefertiti, in comparison to most other genital piercings quite a long healing period of several months and required by the long branch canal during the healing process, reliable care.
As with Chris, the problem is that the piercing can interfere with the intimate shaving. Other forms of hair removal, for example, Brazilian Waxing or Halawa, but may be considered or the hair is removed directly on the piercing with tweezers.
