Care and Cure
Since it is a surface piercing is a risk that the piercing migrates due to high voltage to the outside or completely grow out, especially high. The healing process can also claim caused by the long branch canal, very long time (at least three months) and a complete healing of Madison piercings can not be guaranteed. During a three-year study by the Association of Professional Piercers the piercing had in nine of twelve carriers to be removed because it was rejected by the body during the first year. The remaining three Madison piercings were healed after this period and still not only one of the subjects could keep their piercing permanently. For slow-healing, migrating or rejected piercing the risk of scarring is very high. Especially during the healing period should be taken to avoid, necklaces and grinding equipment. Furthermore, an embarrassing hygiene needed (at least 2 disinfected twice daily, with clean, preferably also be disinfected, hands touch).
